About The 19th

What is The 19th?

The 19th is a golf social app and digital scorecard. It helps golfers track scores for traditional golf side-games (like Skins, Wolf, Greenies, Animals, and Liar's Poker) in real time during a round, and calculates informational settlement records showing who owes whom afterward. Think of it as a digital replacement for the pen, paper, and calculator golfers have always used to keep score.

Does The 19th handle real money?

No. The 19th does not process, hold, or transfer any money between users. The dollar amounts shown in the app are informational data points entered by users for scorekeeping purposes. All financial settlement between players happens entirely outside the app, person-to-person, just as it always has in golf. The app is a ledger and calculator — not a payment platform.

Is The 19th a gambling app?

No. The 19th is not a gambling, gaming, or wagering platform. You cannot play any game through the app. The games tracked by The 19th are physical, in-person activities played on a golf course. The app simply records scores and calculates settlements — the same function a paper scorecard or spreadsheet would serve. The 19th does not offer, host, facilitate, or enable any form of gambling or wagering.

Getting Started

How do I create a game session?

Tap the "+" button on the home screen to create a new session. You'll receive a 4-letter join code that you can share with your playing partners. You can also send in-app invitations to friends directly.

How do I add friends?

Go to the Friends tab and search for a player by their username. Send them a friend request, and once they accept, you'll be connected. You can also add friends directly from an active game session.

Can guests join without an account?

Yes. The session host can add guest players who don't have an account. Guests can participate in scoring and appear in settlement records. If a guest later creates an account, they can be linked to their previous guest activity.

Scoring and Settlements

How does score tracking work?

During a game session, the host records game events as they happen on the course (e.g., who won a skin, who earned a greenie). The app calculates running scores in real time. At the end of a game, the app produces an informational settlement summary showing net results between players.

What is the Debt Center?

The Debt Center is a historical ledger that shows a summary of settlement records across all your past sessions with each playing partner. It is an informational reference tool. The amounts shown are non-binding records based on game outcomes — not invoices or enforceable obligations. Any actual settlement between players is handled independently by the players themselves.

What does "Confirm Payment" mean?

The confirmation feature lets both players mark a settlement record as resolved. This is a record-keeping tool — it records that the players have settled up with each other outside the app. No money is transferred through the app. Both parties confirm independently once they've handled settlement on their own.

Subscriptions

What's included in the free tier?

Free users get access to core features including game tracking, settlement calculations, friends, and session history, with some usage limits (such as a limited number of sessions per month and a maximum number of players per session).

What does the Games subscription unlock?

The Games Tier subscription removes usage limits and unlocks enhanced features, including unlimited sessions, larger groups, the ability to run multiple games simultaneously, extended game history, and additional game configuration options.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your device's app store. On iOS, go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. On Android, open the Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Age Requirement

How old do I have to be to use The 19th?

The 19th is intended for users 17 and older. When you create an account, you'll be asked to confirm your date of birth before signing up. Accounts belonging to users under 17 cannot access the App.

Why do you ask for my date of birth?

We collect date of birth solely to verify that you meet the App's minimum-age requirement (17+). It is stored on your account, visible only to you inside the App, and is never shown to other users or shared with third parties for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

Can I change my date of birth later?

Yes — but only one time. From the Profile screen, tap Edit next to Date of Birth to submit a correction. After that change is made, further corrections require contacting support. This rule helps prevent misuse of the age-verification gate.

I entered the wrong date of birth and my account is locked. What do I do?

If the date of birth you entered during signup indicates you are under 17, the account is locked automatically. If that was a mistake, please contact support at support@the19th.io and we'll help you sort it out.

Account and Privacy

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings in the app and select "Delete Account." Your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days. You can also email us at support@the19th.io for assistance with account deletion.

What data does The 19th collect?

We collect your account information (name, email, username), date of birth for age verification, game data you create in the app, device information for push notifications, and usage data to improve the service. We do not collect location data, financial account information, or data from other apps. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Does The 19th sell my data?

No. We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to any third party. We do not share your data for advertising or marketing purposes. Your data is used solely to provide and improve the App.

Disclaimer: The 19th is an informational score-tracking and record-keeping utility for golfers. The App does not offer, host, facilitate, or enable any form of gambling, gaming, wagering, or financial transactions between users. All settlement calculations and debt ledger entries are non-binding informational records. Users are solely responsible for their own activities and any financial arrangements made independently outside of the App. The 19th is not a substitute for legal, financial, or tax advice.
